As I've said before, I think Justice League simply needs a time-out movie that focuses on character development.
Send the League to another part of the universe where they are stripped of their usual plot armour and invulnerabilities (Iron Man 3, Star Trek: The One with the Whales) and let the team gel together personally.
Ideally, they could have done this with a Thanagarian Invasion movie.
But after Thanos, Darkseid etc, planetary invasions are getting a bit on the boring side.
This 'overhaul' is interesting, because the way to change up everything is Flashpoint. However, D.C. has a Flash movie coming and is apparently worried their star is melting down.
