Yeah, I'd like to hear how that goes. It was on TV about four days ago and I was like "okay, today's the day...". I made it about 17 minutes.
I love Gary Oldman. I just re-watched
JFK a few weeks ago, and I loved his portrayal of Lee Harvey Oswald. He's one of those actors who kinda disappears into a role; he really didn't even look like Gary Oldman, the way he kinda held his mouth/jawline, along with the voice/accent.
I've never seen Gary Oldman be anything other than great at his job. I'd watch him read a take-out menu or grocery list. He'd do something to make it interesting/watchable.
Like a lot of people, I first saw him in
Sid and Nancy way back in 1986 (it actually played here in town at one theater for exactly one week). I made it a point to see it, based on articles/reviews I'd read. Been a fan ever since.
