Ultimately it's about a family trying to save their restaurant from the bank and hilarity ensues. The movie quickly crescendos into a fast-paced chaotic free-for-all with the occasional musical number for good measure and finishes with a happy ending for all.
Gary Cole and Zach Galifianakis both provide hilarious supporting roles, plus Kevin Kline as the eccentric landlord complete with cape and eye patch.
