That's pretty much all there is to say about it. Do exhaustive accounting, and call your credit card company when something seems awry. It's their promise (and therefore, their job) that they'll cover it.
Credit card fraud does happen a lot, but as long as you keep track of how you use your money, you actually don't have all that much to worry about.
