That story made rounds on many tech sites yesterday. It’s a real thing, but it isn’t a big deal on the Mac. If you get two malware or virus apps installed you have bigger problems than them talking to each other. On mobile, so on, the iPad Pro right now, it’s more of an issue, since if they manage to sneak something passed the checks at Apple they could use one app send prompts suggesting another seemly safe app, that they could use a cover for sending data out as a way around OS level protections.
