I'm not sure the following incident was exactly 'cruel'; but it wasn't 'playing by the rules' either.
When I was six, I had a sort of boyfriend who lived down the street. One day he came flying down to my house and said he would show me 'his' if I would show him 'mine'. Well, we went into my room, and into the walk-in closet for privacy. But, being a wily female, I said: "Okay, how about if I show you my teddy bear's instead?" He (what a dummy) said 'okay'.
So, he showed me 'his', and I showed him my bear (who was always 'naked', of course); and my friend went away happy.
I suppose there are lessons to be learned from this story, but I'm not sure what they are.
