You have a lot of activities that add up to a 'substantial' drain... Is the battery lower total Wh than previous batteries?

I got my machine today, and while my work approach is substantially different (I rarely run more than one or two applications at a time), my battery consumption has been inline with what I expected. Safari plus keynote over an hour consumed only 6% of the battery...My discreet graphics haven't been activated at all as far as I can tell -- this basically makes this computer an ok purchase because under the same load my 7 yo 17 incher would be toasting me...
