So the previous model had an Iris Pro 5200. The new one instead has an HD 530 and a Radeon Pro 450, 455, or 460.

The 450 scores about 201% compared to the Iris Pro; the 460 about 265%.

So the dedicated GPU is over twice as fast. However, the new integrated GPU is only about 73% as fast as its predecessor.

If they had gone, instead, with the Iris Pro 580, they could've had 146% the performance of the Iris Pro 5200. Nowhere near the Radeon's performance, but at presumably much lower power draw. I don't know why they didn't choose this path. They could have still combined that with an optional Radeon in a premium model, just like in the previous gen. Maybe they CPU yields are terrible. Maybe they ran into quality issues.
