The surface area of said keyboard would be much larger than a Mac mini, so heat could be dispersed more efficiently...maybe even add an inch or two above the F-keys. Make this thing run strictly on SSD's and you've got a pretty quiet machine.
Like you said, it's doubtful. But it's this type of outside the box thinking that I could see Apple cooking up in their labs.
