She was driving an older model American sedan, nicely maintained, but about 15 yrs. old.

As might be the case wrt many accidents, I feel partly at fault, though 'technically' I wasn't. And it's not like her insurance company would be paying. It would be out of her pocket.
Has anyone here ever gotten a part out of a salvage yard?
