I have a few friends with OTA antennas in Toronto. The closer to Lake Ontario you are, the better, as the Canadian channels broadcast off the CN tower, and a few of the American channels broadcast from antennas that are deep inside Buffalo.
You get almost nothing in the north, such as in Brampton or Richmond Hill.
But if you're in the right spots, close to the Lake in Mississauga or Toronto, you can pick up 10 or 12 HD channels completely free of charge.
