While I love my Sonos setup, for my computer desk I was specifically referring to the size of the speak I want for my desk, not the brand.
I think there would be noticeable lag if I tried to use AirPlay and Sonos as my computer audio. It is fine for music because it ensures they are synced. Not sure how I would like that for the desktop apps and such though.
