If Apple builds the iPod.next with a color screen and video out, why not take the final step and add a simple camera?
My day job is spent programming mobile phones, and the CMOS video sensors they use are power efficient, very small, and relatively inexpensive. Apple could easily pull this off, IMHO.
robo: this would address your concern about the color screen being of little use to most customers.
