I see this as one of the most devastating pieces of news for Apple in a while. It makes it very clear that the Apple car project (Project Titan) is a dead end. And the way Tesla released that press release the day of his departure from Apple was a very intentional middle finger and twist of the knife in Apple's back.
Apple has lost its magic and the truly gifted see excitement and opportunity elsewhere.
