LASER PRINTER
In the great electronics fry-up of 2021 we said goodbye to our low cost laser printer.
With the replacement in place I tracked down a local electronics recycler that will accept the device.
I know that it's a best practice to remove hard drives from old computers, but is there ANYTHING in a laser printer that might have cached data from previous printouts that could somehow kick up personal information to a scraping organization?
Since there's no hard drive in the machine I suspect that I'm fine to just do a simple hand-off.
Still, Reagan's "Trust, but verify" phrase rings through my head.
