I know this will meet with opposition here (but I also don't really give a rip
), but Apple should just steer clear of all this. I wouldn't allow it. Just kinda taints/cheapens the brand.
We can't have $399 Apple netbooks (because that goes against their image/brand, Apple doesn't play in the "bargain basement", etc.), but we can have Japanese schoolgirl T&A and the rest on their iPhones, via some lame-ass app?
Safari's already on the iPhone...folks are free to surf to whatever sites they want (just like on their Macs). But Apple doesn't need to provide a gateway to this stuff (in the same way they don't have an iJack app as part of iLife '09).
Yeah, yeah...call me a prude, etc. But it goes beyond that, really.
You start letting this crap through, and what's the platform gonna be in another 2-3 years? Wading through shit, that's what.
