I’ve been using Nova as my daily editor since around the time it came out. It’s ok but not great. The task system is pretty neat, but I wish its autocomplete were more aggressive (I really miss this about Sublime). I also find Sublime to be way more stable and faster when opening large files, files on mounted network drives, etc. So, while I like the idea of a native Mac editor, I keep getting pulled back toward Sublime.

As for VS Code, it is surprisingly Snappy™ for an Electron app, but it still feels pretty web-y. That said, I’ve been playing around a bit with Dart/Flutter (for which there’s no built-in support or community extension for Nova), and I’m hella impressed with the dev tools Google built into their Code extension: it basically feels like a full IDE.
