Jobs said when he unveiled the App Store that Apple wouldn't distribute porn apps through the store. It has nothing to do with prudishness - it's just part of projecting a professional image. BlackBerry, et al. wouldn't want porn in their "App World" either.

I don't think it's "wrong" either, Kick. But parental controls or not, it's not good publicity for Apple, and it doesn't reflect well on the iPhone as a tool for business. Nobody wants to wade through dozens of porn apps to find an app they want.

Plus, purchasing a porn app? As Paul pointed out, couldn't you just get the same photos (probably the exact same photos - at $2/pop, I doubt the developers funded their own shoot...) for free anyways? Even if you didn't want to have to download naughty JPEGs over EDGE or GPRS you could just sync them from iPhoto on your computer and then you'd always have them in your, uh, pants.

It's not even an "app," really. It's just some developer looking to make a quick buck and earn some notoriety by gaming the system, that's all.
