Since the last time I went up to look at the vines last week the Scuppernong has really started taking off. The Albemarle is growing buds now too, though not yet leafing out.

For the fungus looking things I went to clip off the tips of the few branches that were effected and stopped after the third one when I looked back at the first and it was dripping! Guess the sap is running very well right now! (The focus is off but you can see the sap.)
That was in less than a minute from the clip. I stopped and didn't clip the fourth one. I'll go up and check on it tomorrow and Monday. A lot of the white "stuff" was gone from the base of the branches so I have to assume it is rectifying itself now that it isn't dormant.
