My rental is airconditioned on the first and second floors but the third floor struggles with the heat all rising up here - especially my office which faces westward, but the bedroom doesn't do any better. Just picked up a super cheap 5000BTU unit by Midea and am gonna install it. My one problem is that the office is the obvious place to put it b/c westward facing and the worst, but because the office and bedroom are parallel to each other and don't have a door in common, I'm not sure enough air will get from the office to the hallway to tbe bedroom and I might need two...wish me luck.
