Alder lake is going to be an energy hog, at least on the desktop. Isn’t Intel pushing 150W (rated) but Intel 125W chips are known to pull over 200W from the wall stock. What is the power rating of the M1 Pro and M1 Max again?
I’d bet neither even hits 100W from the wall. It’s not even a contest to see who’s got the more efficient design, and who has more room for improvement.
