I feel lucky that my transfer worked so well.
Before I attempted the transfer I went ahead and took my iPhone 7 up to the latest version of iOS, suspecting that it would help.
Like you, I did not elect to wipe the old phone in case some app data did not transfer.
You know it's in there.
