I haven't read the spoiler tags yet, but I was imagining the timeline this morning and trying to remember as much as I could about Episode III without rewatching, and something occurred to me.... at the end of Episode III we see Palpatine and Vader overlooking the construction of the Death Star. So, 9 years later the thing pretty much has to be finished, right?
What if... Obi-Wan has already been on the Death Star before his final meeting with Vader in Episode IV? What if that's how he knew where the power thingamajiggy on the ledge was? What if it puts in context what Vader meant by saying "You should not have come back."
Kinda blew my own mind over breakfast, tbh.
