You know you can get the "rsync" and "cp" commands to do that automatically? I have written a script that automatically backs up our companies main filestore every day. So I for any one day I can view a full list of files as they were on that day, You could do this every 15 mins if you want.
"So what!?!" I hear you say. Well the clever bit is that thanks to the magic of linux, even though all the daily backup dirs look full, only the changed files actually take up space!
(*DISCLAIMER* I know this to be true for Linux versions of the commands, not sure about OSX / Darwin versions)
