Yeah, that's my bad. Regardless, they've been a respected team all year, and were never considered a bubble team. It's not a very surprising upset.
Teams like WV that shoot a lot of threes are particularly susceptible to upsets because if the long jumpers aren't falling (and they were 5/20 from 3) they're screwed
