The $799 iPhone 13 is actually $829, and then the carrier gives you a $30 rebate. Unless, that is, you don't want to activate with the carrier (or are with a non-eligible carrier).

Play with their store configurator. If you select a carrier or none, the price suddenly changes and you get weird stuff like "Includes $30 T-Mobile instant discount (requires activation)."
