I just copied an iMovie project from my PowerBook to my (Intel) iMac. The iMac has the new iMovie HD, and it warned me that the file would be converted and I wouldn't be able to open it with the old iMovie anymore. Fine with me, so I clicked okay.
But iMovie HD doesn't show me any video. The preview frames are all black, and when I click anywhre on the timeline, the "screen" remains white. Is that an iMovie/HD problem, or a compatibility issue between PPC and Intel? It's not a big deal for me, I just needed to render the edited movie in a different resolution and thought I'd see how much faster the new computer is - but that's a compatibility problem that really shouldn't happen.
