I can see how those would be concerning for you. I don't use Twitter so I personally don't care what happens to it in the least.
While I don't agree with all your points, I do see how they would be concerning to you. Though it sounds like you will end up moving to a better pay in the end no matter how this turns out so that isn't likely a bad thing.
