I normally wouldn't, but the iPhone doubles as "the best iPod ever." Let's say I decided to wait it out for the 3G iPhone. To play my music in the meantime, I grab an 8GB iPod nano. Even if the Rev. B iPhone sees a $100 price drop, I would have spent $150
more by waiting - a not insignificant price increase. I'd obviously be able to sell my iPod nano to make some of that back, but the 8GB nano might only be $150
new at the time. Waiting would almost certainly cost me
more - the argument, of course, would be that I would get a better phone for my money, but I would have also had to...well...
