Absolutely. The iPhone is no doubt one of the most exciting devices to have been announced in the recent years and it deserves all the buzz it has been getting. And there have to be early adopters so those who aren't can benefit from the feedback Apple has been getting from those who are.

That's a fair point, yes, but it doesn't have to be true. WiFi (attached to a broadband Internet connection) may not be around due to being impractical (low population density), whereas 3G cellphone towers can span much larger areas.
