I get the meshiness. What I don't get is why this is called 'Thread' and not 'Threading'.

'An Apple TV with Thread.' Does no one care about words anymore?

Just to be clear, I do have rooms in my house where devices have mics and cameras. I just don't want my house overrun with a bunch of hardly noticed and eminently hackable devices listening and watching almost everywhere. Between known government and business privacy threats, I don't think that's even close to paranoia.
