Exactly. All the restaurants, all the pharmacies, the two big home/hardware joints (the blue one and the orange one ), Target, Walmart, every gas station/convenience store, etc. Every one of them, for the past 5-10 years now, wanting my stuff.

No, you went decades without it, so quit acting like it’s now suddenly required or automatically part of the process. You don’t need my email if I want a box of cough drops or a drill bit. Bug off.

Price stuff reasonably to start with and you don’t need all these “perks”, rewards, points, “special member savings”, etc. Me saving .42 on a stick of deodorant isn’t worth you mishandling/misusing my email, phone number, etc. Because I know you will, first chance you get.

I have .42 and I’ll pay it, viewing it as a STFU tax.
