That isn't what Coke Zero is.
Coke Zero is identical in ingredients to Diet Coke. There is a slight change in the proportions of the aspartme Ace-K. Otherwise they are identical.
Coke Zero was created for marketing reasons, not taste. Coke believed that young males, who have become more conscious of health and calories, would be more likely to drink a product called Coke Zero rather than a drink with "Diet" in its name.
Pretty simple really. They do taste slightly different but that's just because of the change in proportions and also probably a little mental.
