Completely agree, even just from test driving a 2010 Tundra for a short time I liked it better than when I had to drive a friends more modern F-150. Liked it better than the Tacoma and Frontier as well, although the latter two are more nimble.

Still ended up going for the Maverick, I just don’t need a full size truck. If someone made a Tacoma/Frontier/Ranger hybrid that got 35MPG, for $35k I’d I have gone that route. Alas they don’t, and mid-size trucks are basically just as bad on gas as a full size. The full size hybrids are just too expensive, and still needlessly large.
