But of course! A sauce with no 'sweet' factor is definitely no sauce. I'm a big fan of tomato, brown(ed) sugars, and balsamic vinegars. However, we certainly cannot forget the 'spice' factor. Mmmm...roasted peppers, Mmm...roasted ancho chiles....roasted garlic....
