I remember back in the early 80's, those first several space shuttle missions, I'd see footage of them on
Good Morning America playing funny songs from Mission Control to wake the astronauts up. I always thought stuff like that was so cool. Everything just went right and I was so into all that (following the launch, missions, watching the landings live on CNN or whatever, etc.).
And then 1986 happened.
