So, I was thinking it might be kind of fun to have a thread where we can share stories, laughers, project ideas, tips, shortcuts, and general cussing and swearing.

Today, while working on a project in the Nether, I learned the fun-ard way to double-check my inventory selections before placing blocks. It went like this:
With my biscuits hanging out over the hot stuff, I was placing some stone using the old "sneak-back-place-block" trick. With booty out, head down, left-click held firmly for efficiency, it was sneak-back, place-block, sneak-back, place-block, sneak-back, place block … repeat 64 times, reload inventory with cobble; sneak-back, place-block, sneak-back, place-block, sneak-back, place block … repeat 64 times, reload inventory with cobble; sneak-back, place block, sneak … DRAT!
As I watched a block of gravel lead the way into the cauldron, I silently cursed Brad for the texture pack's gravel/cobble inventory similarity.
Fortunately, I like replacing my inventory items on a regular basis.
