The countdown is on again! The person who downloads the 1 Billionth App receives a 17" MBP, 32GB iPod touch, $10,000 of iTunes credit & a Time Capsule.

echnically it's not the billionth download that wins, that's just when the contest ends.

What would I do with a $10,000 iTunes gift card? Download 10,101 $.99 apps and see if they can all fit on my iPhone.

OK, not really. I'd probably buy a bunch of movies - even movies I've already got on DVD and VHS and build a complete, digital library. That's not something I'd do normally, but with $10,000 that I have to spend at the store and no need to buy anywhere near that amount of music, it seems like a decent idea.

Yeah, I was able to submit an entry once but then subsequent entries were denied saying I had already exceeded the 25/day limit.
