I don't know what happened here.
I moved my computer over the last week from NJ to CT and somehow a scroll lock or something similar was enabled. I can't use the arrow keys to scroll up/down in Safari. Tried Googling, but it mentions F14, which I have on the TouchID extended keyboard, but that does nothing. Is there something I'm missing here? No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

That's a really weird one. Are the arrow keys broken for all websites, including AppleNova? Or just specific ones? Do the arrow keys work normally elsewhere and in other apps?
The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |

Can't scroll on this thread in Safari, nor any other major site, but I can scroll through Preview pages, Mail message, etc...
Just super weird. Was hesitating on a restart because I have some other things happening, but I feel like that's going to have to happen later tonight. No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

Almost sounds like a Safari-based gremlin if it's scrolling okay in Preview, Mail and the rest.
For what it's worth, arrow keys are working fine for me in Safari at this site (and all others I visit), plus the other apps I use in the course of a day. I'm on an older Retina 13" MacBook Pro and running macOS Catalina (10.15.7). |

Seems like that was the case. A restart solved it.
Just a weird bug to run across |

That's the first thing I do - a restart - anytime I encounter some weird-ass, no-rhyme-or-reason glitch/gremlin that just randomly appears out of nowhere. I figure something just got momentarily scrambled or flaked-out, and it's rare, in my experience, that a quick restart doesn't do the trick for little things like that. Just seems to give the system a good Moe Howard slap and set things right.
