Hi Gang:

I have a new MacBook. While using Windows I use a projector to show Excel sheets to my staff and it has been quiting on me tons. When it happens on a PC I press Ctrl. F5 and it comes back to normal. Is there an equivalent of said command on Mac?

What else could be happening?

You're using Windows on the MacBook, as I understand correctly?
Are you using BootCamp or Parallels workstation?

Hi:

Both and it happens on both.

I've yet to try if the Windows commmands work on the Windows side of Boot Camp. But I doubt it.

Can you elaborate on "Quitting?" Does the machine crash, or just lose the external monitor, or what?

Anyway, the key combo that turns the external monitor port on and off is particular to the laptop - there's not a standard "windows" keystroke that does it.

On my Powerbook, f7, or possibly fn-f7 appears to be the correct key, but I have no idea:
a: If this is the same on a Macbook
b: If the key commands still work under windows.

Boot camp is Beta software, after all.

You realise you can run Excel under Mac OS...right?

Excuse the terrible quality. It is F7. Or maybe fn-F7.

Gang:
Sorry for being such a pain but where's "fn"?
