A few days ago, in all the iBook update hubbub, it suddenly dawned on me that an iBook would be a viable alternative to the Mac mini I was planning on buying. (The free iPod mini helped. ) Now, it's looking like I'll be getting a 12" iBook soon, and I was wondering if any of you could recommend a case for it. I'm looking for more of a "minimalist" case - I have a big bulky briefcase-style case for my current Toshiba craptop, and I'm not interested in hassling with that again. In fact, it really doesn't have to hold much more than just the laptop...I've heard of stylish "slip-cases" for iBooks and the like, and I was wondering if any of you could recommend them (or any other case). Style is a plus, but I'd prefer not to pay through the nose for it. Thanks

This should be exactly what you're looking for. Got one for my 15" Powerbook and works great. Perfect fit, slim and hard foam cover. http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=97

Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately, power just went out in Owatonna, Minnesota, and my laptop gets crap battery life, so I'll be logging off now...see you all later, and thanks again.

I recently bought a 12" Crumpler (I think its called a School Hymn) for my PB, though I'd have preferred a Sleevz. I just need a little extra protection for when I carry the PB around in another larger case with other materials. Crumpler also makes other bags with shoulder straps and some look pretty decent for PBs.

I really like the Mobile Edge backpack that I got when I bought my 12" iBook. I remember thinking that they had some pretty decent, non-backpack, bags also.
