Hi
I have powerbook 15 1-67 with 512 RAM and 128 VRAM I've tested it with Xbench and got relults something like 46,** Then I've installed 2 gigs of RAM - and now I've got only 37,** ! What's wrong - Xbench, memory or my head? |

Are you running it at "Automatic" or "Reduced" energy saver settings? Try setting it to "Best Performance" for the benchmark.
But don't take too much stock in your Xbench results. Unless you're experiencing slow performance in everyday operation, you're probably fine. Xbench isn't very accurate. |

Xbench is very arbitrary, but what Luca said is definitely good advice. Only test your computer with the maximum performance settings.

energy settings were set to "Best performance". Later, I switched them to "Reduced"("better energy savings") to test the results and after that xBench showed 39... That is crazy

Ah..... 37/39 swappage in my mind....
Long day. Tip: Never take up theatre lighting. It's like having to work with a DOS-based spreadsheet all day, while alternately climbing ladders, burning yourself on hot things, or having artistic people shout at you... Last edited by Bryson : 2005-12-17 at 19:59. |
