In the last 24 hours, I've received exactly eight emails -- six spam and two non-spam. Obviously, it's a summer weekend in July, and that could explain the low email traffic, but I'm also worried there could be downtime I'm unaware of, etc. (I switched web hosting companies relatively recently.)

I never feared email downtime too much in the past, because delayed emails would show up once any problem was solved. But last night, I went almost eight hours without receiving a single message, and then, when I logged in today, I only had a few waiting, all from this morning (none from the 8-hour no-email timeframe).

Is anyone else seeing lower email traffic? Perhaps reading about all the MobileMe problems has just made me paranoid, but after a couple of these really low-traffic email days in the past month or two, I'm starting to wonder if my web host has some sort of black hole into which emails disappear without a trace.

Thanks for all feedback.
