You know, I still don't understand how things work here in my part of Ohio (Akron area).
When we moved here three years ago, I registered so I could vote in the midterm elections. Did it prior to the deadline and everything. I show up at the polls on election day and they have no record of me, so I had to use a provisional ballot. The weird thing was, they had my husband listed as registered. He hadn't lived in Ohio since 2000 and never lived at our current address (which is what they had listed for him). He voted in 2004 in Wisconsin, but hasn't bothered to vote since we moved here. So how did he wind up on the voter registration list? The only difference is that he's a registered Republican. (Note: I am not really suggesting that this was a politically motivated job. But I can see why people are so paranoid about the elections being stolen.) |

You know, there are quite few blogs that follow this sort of thing. I thinks someone already linked to one of them (black box voting). I saw a picture of ballot boxes which were taped up with a tape that was quite easy to remove and was stored in a facility where anyone could walk in. That was quite bad.
