Trying to connect to a friend's server on the same network as I am presently connected to. The media center pops up but when I try and connect it says the alias cannot be found. I've never had this happen before, and sharing has always been flawless in the past. Any clues?

Finder: Cmd-K, enter smb://ip-address-of-server/ When prompted for name, prepend the workgroup name (in all caps), then a slash before the user name.
Google for further details - this is usually seen when a LAN has multiple workgroups on it. |
