Hi
I have just finished making and editing my first home video and I want to make a DVD out of it. How do I do that? And which format should the video be? I used iMovie 09 for editing if it matters. |

It doesn't seems to have and easy way to export directly from iMovie. You should try Share/iDVD (My menus are in french so this is a guess). Within iDVD it will take you 2 minutes to figure out what you want to do. If you don't want all the fancy menus, I'm pretty sure you can disable them completely.
Edit: Just did a quick google search and it doesn't seems to be an easy way to turn off all the menus. I've read that you can you ffmpegX. You drop iMovie reference movies and you the "DVD" preset. I've always gone from iMovie right into iDVD. I think that's how it was all designed/intended, and it couldn't be easier. They play on regular DVD players (which is where 98% of the recipients will be watching them).
