I haven't seen the trailer but I can't wait for the movie to come out. Seriously, Die Hard series has had the best titles:
Die Hard Die Hard 2: Die Harder Die Hard With Vengeance Live Free and Die Hard I mean ingenious! But on that note, I love the return of the geriatrics. It's like Cocoon: It's the Movies Now! See the new Indiana Jones staring Harrison Ford. Retired 8 years ahead of schedule. |

I love Bruce Willis (not like that), and these movies are always great fun. I'll see this one, sure. But it doesn't strike me as anything too great (I'm going mostly out of respect and all).
I mean, John McClane has to rank up there with the all-time greatest movie heroes, right? He just has to!  Willis at his worst trumps Travolta at his best, any day of the week. |

Agree Willis is better than those guys but it doesn't take much, ya know? This looked pretty good right up until there were F-35s hovering under bridges and other ridiculous BS. Movie directors have GOT to learn that if you push the effects stuff too far, it ceases to be entertaining because it's so implausible that people just go "ok, whatever" and sort of lose the vibe of the whole movie.
Also, the "I've got your daughter thing" is way too cliche. But, I'll probably see it when it comes out on cable or something. Unless the rest of the movies out in June are absolute dog shit (better than a 50% probability). ...into the light of a dark black night. |
