I have the moo as well on my 1,83 MBP. It only occurs when the battery is reloading. After that the machine runs significantly cooler by itsself, and the mooing stops.

edit: could someone change the thread title to something like "MBP fan (or HD) "moo"?
I had never bothered to read the thread until today because I never associated the sound with my HD.
