Am interested in buying some Intel based iMac's asap but use Adobe Photoshop CS/CS2 and Dreamweaver MX/8 extensively.

Will these pro-level apps work on the Intel Macs or should I just invest in G5's and wait till Intel is a more mature technology.

I'm not sure if those applications have universal binaries yet.

If so, I'd buy an Intel machine. They should run at/near full speed. (I think)

If not, I'd buy a G5 for now. Applications without universal binaries will run under Rosetta, which is an emulation layer which allows PPC applications to run on the new x86 machines.

Also, you might do some searching (here and on Google) about when those programs might be getting universal binaries.
