i have had airport express for a while now, for some reason i have been to lazy to set it up with a password to use the network. so, basically any neighbour of mine can use my internet if they so choose. i tried once to set up a password but i had no idea how one of my pc using roomates got into the network. so, i was wondering if someone could tell me in great detail how to set up the password on my emac then let my roomates onto the network. i would greatly appreciate it, as i dont really want my neighbour using my internet to download kiddie porn.
ps. i know that my next door neighbour has wireless internet and can see my network and have spoken with some who walked by with their laptop (they were at a house across the street and could get on my network!). so, finally, i dont want any of this happening anymore. pps. i cant believe that the network is so strong that you can see it across the damn street, and i was worried about everyone in my house getting a good signal! the first day i moved into my place and set up the network i could see one called poopsmith. i thought, poopsmith, thats bizarre, i didnt think i made a network called poopsmith. later that week i found out it was my nextdoor neighbour and found out poopsmith is from homestar! haha, thats some good stuff, btw. anyways, sorry about the long story, cheers! and thanks in advance! |
